Iyengar Yoga Classes

All classes are general classes suitable for everyone with some yoga experience. The level of the class is adjusted according to the students who attend and variations are offered so that everybody can gain maximum benefit from the poses. Simple props are used to support less flexible students or to assist more advanced students to gain extra extension and / or cultivate new awareness.

Each week has a theme and follows a similar sequence enabling the practitioners who come more often to improve at the same poses over the course of the week and to deepen the connections that the practice of yoga teaches us. The classes are light and fun and the idea is to leave feeling energized, calm and nourished.

Angela

Angela has been practicing Iyengar yoga since Y2K, she qualified as a Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher in 2017 and has been teaching ever since. She is a member of the BKS Iyengar Yoga Institute of Southern Africa, this enables her to attend annual courses by senior International Iyengar teachers, be challenged in her own practise, keep abreast of the Iyengar yoga scene and to receive any updated instructions that come directly from the source in Pune, India.
